Hello Everyone!

Peace.
I am pleased to inform you that the Officers and Board Members of the AUAAI, together with the Officers of the different Chapter Associations have been planning about the forthcoming Alumni Homecoming on February 07, 2009 ( The Alumni 75th Anniversary). I have been elected as the Programming Chairman and have presented tasks and accountabilities before the attendees in a dinner meeting at Yue Lai Restaurant last June 30, 2008.
I have attached the list of tasks with the volunteers' names (individual and group). However, we also need you to take part in the planning; we all know that we have to consolidate our efforts to make this a huge success. Anyway, we are of the same breed - Falcons! Kindly browse it over, choose a task and volunteer as to where you could best assist. See you next meeting!
Let me share with you some things which transpired and were likewise approved in the said meeting:
1. Homecoming is Free (entrance, food - dinner only and entertainment) for all Alumni. Guests will be paying though; ticket price, still undecided
2. In lieu of the usual payment of Alumni for the Ticket, donations will be requested.
3. All proceeds on that night will go solely to the selected Outreach Project of the AUAAI , that is to help build a Vincentian Church in Payatas - The "Ina ng Lupang Pangako" Parish. The OIA and the College of Architecture are currently assisting them in this undertaking.
4. The night ended when the different chapters volunteered for the dinner treats of the Men's Senior Basketball Team for the entire UAAP Season (14 games).Out of 14 games, 11 treats were pledged, leaving games 2, 3 and 4 open.
5. Next meeting/planning is on July 25, 2008, 6 PM, B.A. (Business Administration) Conference Room.(just below the AdU Theater).
"Together we stand...divided we fall!" Hope to see you there.

Mayor Asmundson Teaches and Learns Back Through Politics (August 13, 2008)
“Because I love Davis,” Mayor Ruth said. “I always try to see what is best for Davis. When people disagree with me, I try to listen to their perspective. Probably I haven’t seen that perspective before, and they have good things to say. So I keep refining my thinking. I’m never embarrassed to change my mind. I may change my mind because I see someone else’s point of view – perhaps it was better. We don’t always agree, but we need to respect others,” she proudly avers.

Her list of achievements may fill number of pages, but the apparent keys to success that she imparts to us are what great wonders of being selfless and giving heartfelt service could endow.

(Mayor Asmundson is a graduate of the University)

75 Outstanding Adamsonians Form AUDFI
AdU’s mission to provide quality education to the economically challenged is not the sole responsibility of the University. The Adamson University Diamond Jubilee Foundation, Inc. (AUDJFI) shares the same commitment as they offer assistance to the University’s prime projects.

AUDJFI is a non-profit organization formed by the 75 Outstanding Adamsonians last February 2007. It will be recalled that during the 2007 Diamond Jubilee, the University named 75 Outstanding Adamsonians, all alumni who have made significant achievements in their respective careers. Last January 5, 2008, the organization held its launching and induction of officers at the Centennial Hall A of the Manila Hotel with alumni, school officials, government representatives, business tycoons, and media personalities in attendance. Former President Fidel V. Ramos graced the event as Guest of Honor and speaker.

According to Mr. Belmar Bayombong, Business Manager of AUDJFI, “The long-term objective is to achieve its mission by creating sustainable programs that will ensure or even exceed the expectations of the university and the alumni.”

Mr. Bayombong added that the group’s projects are: scholarship programs to deserving students including support for a professional and professorial chair; support to Adamson student athletes; speakers bureau (the organization is to sponsor 30 seminars for graduating students every semester); assistance, together with the OIA, in the creation of Adamson University Basketball and AdU Golf Tour and a sustainable source of funds.

The organization’s Officers are: Ruth Uy Asmundson - President, Reynaldo Araos, Francis Patron, Manny Wong - VP (Internal), Mario Garcia, Eric Manalang - VP (External), Lourdes Supetran – Treasurer, Marietta Ilao - Secretary, Lucina Galera – Auditor, Belmar Bayombong - Business Manager.

The Incorporators include: Enrique Lim, Lourdes Supetran, Eric Manalang, Bernardino Paco, Francis Patron, Edison Aviguetero, Reynaldo Araos, Lucina Galera, Marietta Aniano-Ilao, Rechilda Perez-Villame, Jesus Manalastas, Lydia Crisostomo, and Romeo Lerit, Jr.
The Board of Trustees is composed of: Enrique Lim, Lourdes Supetran, Eric Manalang, Edison Aviguetero, Lucina Galera, Marietta Aniano-Ilao, Rechilda Perez-Villame, Lydia Crisostomo, and Bernardo Paco.JCM
Reach out. Look back. Celebrate the future with us.
Greetings from Adamson University!
